The Telly Awards is the leading award honoring excellence in video and television across all screens. This season, we’re introducing a new suite of categories in Film & Shorts to reflect the blend of social, branded, original and immersive styles that are shaping a dynamic, evolving genre. Within this new media type are new opportunities for recognition including Original Score and Stunts, alongside scripted, genre-based narrative options including Sci-Fi & Fantasy and Comedy, and unscripted and documentary options.
We continue to offer recognition in the commercial and emerging technology space, with expanding offerings in Brand Partnerships, Use of Real-time Rendering, and CTV ads. Other new categories in Television or Online Shows & Series include Outdoor & Adventure, Limited Series, Game Show & Competition, and Variety Special. Promotional expands to include Book Trailer and Mascot Video, and Non-Broadcast adds Wedding & Life Event.
As always, our People’s Telly public voting competition includes cross-genre competition for Best Micro-Budget, Best Student, and Best Editing. The People’s Telly competition entries are shortlist by our council of judges, but final Gold, Silver and Bronze People’s Telly winners are decided on by the general voting public.
We’re also adding a new overall distinction for “Production Company of the Year.”
