Welcome to the 46th season of the Telly Awards! The Telly Awards is the leading award honoring excellence in video and television across all screens, and this year we’re celebrating the creativity that emerges when Stories Take Shape in bold and innovative ways. We’re looking for work that uses traditional methods and new formats to outline the full spectrum of storytelling possibilities. Whether you are a brand creator, social media innovator, television veteran, or independent artist – join us in shaping the future of our craft. Enter your story now.

  • This season, we’re introducing a new suite of categories in Film & Shorts to reflect the blend of social, branded, original and immersive styles that are shaping a dynamic, evolving genre. We continue to offer recognition in the commercial and emerging technology space, with expanding offerings in Brand Partnerships, Use of Real-time Rendering, and CTV ads. We’re also adding a new overall distinction for “Production Company of the Year.”
  • We’re excited to welcome a new cohort of judges to the 46th Annual Telly Awards. Some of our new judges include James Young (EVP, Head of Creative Innovation, BBDO NYC), Brian Toombs (Head of Roku Brand Studio, Roku Brand Studio), Rosalind Pressman (VP Brand Marketing, Pluto TV), Irantzu Diez-Gamboa (CEO North America, MediaPro), Sarah Minnie (Head of Artist Development and Production, Open Television) and Enrique Montalvo (Executive Producer, LinkedIn Editorial Productions) among many others.
  • We’re bringing our screening series to a theater near you in NY, LA, Miami, Chicago, and Atlanta. We’re also adding a new virtual and in-person conversation series “Throughlines” to explore trends across social, brand and production.  Both events are designed so large corporate agencies and small, independent creators and production companies can come together and connect. Follow our social media channels and website programming page for more details.
  • Finally, we’re happy to welcome Portrait, Kinema and Seed & Spark as our new Telly Awards partners! Each of these organizations works to connect filmmakers and brands across the industry with funding, community and distribution opportunities. Read more about their work and learn about ways to expand your film’s impact.

This is my second season with the Tellys, and I’ve come to love a few things about this award. Here are my top five reasons the Tellys are a different award show, in case you didn’t know:

  • We are the only video award that accepts work from Tik Tok to Television – because we have never cared where you made your work, or who you made it for – we care if it’s good.
  • Our judging council uses a scoring rubric, not a “For your consideration” campaign to determine the industry’s best work – meaning every entrant has a fair chance, no matter their size or budget.
  • The Telly Awards has a bird’s eye view of innovation across the moving image – and it makes us uniquely positioned to identify trends and shifts in the industry as a whole.
  • The People’s Telly is where you can flex your muscles across the competition’s verticals – meaning branded content can go up against television which can go up against TikTok videos for distinction.
  • Being a Telly Winner means joining a community crafting the future of the media industry – join us now.

If you’ve already got great work you’re proud of, you can enter it now to receive early pricing before the Early Entry Deadline on Friday, December 13th.
